Everything you need to write well

Structured guidance for every document — not AI-generated content, but help learning the structure yourself.

Section-by-section tutorial mode

Each section comes with a purpose statement, a worked exemplar, a before-you-write checklist, and the most common mistakes. You learn the structure while you write it.

Practice with real scenarios

Work through realistic clinical and professional scenarios — paediatric emergencies, case conceptualisations, software incidents — without the stakes of a live document.

Structured feedback on your writing

Get specific, targeted feedback on each section you write — what's strong, what's missing, and what to improve. Grounded in discipline-specific Australian standards.

Feedback on your work, not generated content

Export to PDF, Word, or Markdown

Export in the format your field requires. References, appendices, figures, and captions all render in the correct position automatically.

See it in action

Editor: the Study design and setting section of “Sleep and cognition in medical students”, with one paragraph expanded into draggable sentences Editor in dark theme: the same section with one paragraph expanded into draggable sentences

Drag whole paragraphs, or expand one and drag a single sentence — your restructuring is preserved on collapse.

Purpose statement, worked exemplar, and a section checklist live next to every section. Tick as you go.

Practice mode: the scenario “Chest pain with ST changes — ED handover”, with the brief and key points on the left and a written ISBAR handover in the response area Practice mode in dark theme: the same chest-pain scenario and written ISBAR handover

Pick a scenario, write your response in the same structure you'd hand over or chart in. Submit when you're ready.

Feedback on the chest-pain ISBAR handover: an overall score of 76 (Good), rubric scores for five criteria, strengths and areas to improve Feedback in dark theme: the same score of 76 (Good), rubric, strengths and areas to improve

A score, a rubric, and concrete strengths and improvements grounded in your discipline's standards.

How it works

Three steps from blank to submitted

1

Choose your template

Pick the document type — IMRaD, clinical case report, SOAP note, PCR, reflective log, and more. The structure is already there.

2

Write with guidance

Every section has an exemplar, a checklist, and common mistakes. Tutorial mode walks you through it. Practice mode lets you build fluency first.

3

Get feedback & export

Request structured feedback on each section at any point, then export your finished document in the format your field or institution requires.

Common questions

Is this considered academic dishonesty?

No. RUNE never generates content for you — it provides the structure, shows you what goes in each section, and gives feedback on what you've written. Every word is yours. It's the same principle as using a style guide or getting feedback from a tutor.

Will it work for my discipline?

Whether you're studying or practising medicine, paramedicine, nursing, psychology, veterinary science, or working in an academic or professional field, yes. The templates and tutorial content are built around Australian academic and clinical standards, with discipline-specific guidance for each document type.

I'm already working in my field — is this useful for me?

Yes. RUNE is as useful for a practising paramedic needing to write a research report as it is for a student doing the same. The templates, exemplars, and feedback are built around real-world documentation standards — not just academic submission requirements.

Is my writing stored or used to train AI?

Your documents are stored securely in your RUNE account (hosted on Supabase, with per-account access controls so only you can read them), with a local cache so the app loads quickly and works offline. When you request AI feedback, only the relevant section is sent to the AI — it is never used for training. We'll publish a full privacy policy before public launch.

What document types does it support?

45+ templates including IMRaD research articles, clinical case reports, SOAP notes, patient care reports, ISBAR handovers, reflective logs, case conceptualisations, systematic reviews, and professional documents like cover letters and executive summaries.

What happens after the free trial?

After 7 days, your account is locked until you choose a plan. Your documents are kept safe and are waiting for you when you upgrade — nothing is deleted. You can export everything you've written at any time, on any plan.

Is there a discount for universities?

Yes — we offer pilot pricing for university cohorts. Get in touch via the contact link below and we'll put together a proposal based on your faculty size and needs.
